What Could Go Wrong

Disaster Scenarios We Protect Against

Business continuity planning starts with understanding what can take your business offline. These are the scenarios our disaster recovery planning covers.

Ransomware Attack

Impact: Total data encryption, operations halt

Ransomware encrypts every file on every server and workstation. Without immutable backup and a tested ransomware recovery plan, you pay the ransom or lose everything. Our air gapped backup ensures you always have a clean recovery point.

Server Hardware Failure

Impact: Critical applications offline

Your primary server's RAID controller fails at 6 PM on a Friday. Without disaster recovery as a service, your team waits until Monday for parts. With our DRaaS, your server is running in the cloud within the hour.

Fire, Flood, or Physical Disaster

Impact: Total site loss

A pipe bursts in the server room or a fire destroys the office. On-site backups are gone. Your offsite backup services and cloud disaster recovery are the only things standing between you and permanent data loss.

Accidental Deletion

Impact: Critical data loss

An employee accidentally deletes a shared folder, database table, or entire mailbox. Without proper data backup services with granular recovery, that data is gone. Our backup as a service provides item-level and point-in-time recovery.

Cloud Provider Outage

Impact: SaaS and cloud services unavailable

AWS, Azure, or Microsoft 365 goes down regionally. Your business stops if you have no failover. Our it disaster recovery plan includes multi-region redundancy and local cached copies for critical data and applications.

Insider Threat or Sabotage

Impact: Intentional data destruction

A disgruntled employee or compromised admin account intentionally deletes or corrupts data. Immutable backup copies cannot be altered or deleted by anyone, including administrators. Data protection services that protect against internal threats.

Recovery Targets

Your RTO and RPO Define Your Recovery

Every business continuity plan is built around two numbers. Echoflare designs your backup and disaster recovery infrastructure to meet both.

<1hr
Recovery Time Objective (RTO)

How quickly your systems are back online after a disaster. Our disaster recovery services target sub-1-hour RTO for critical systems using disaster recovery as a service with automated cloud failover.

15min
Recovery Point Objective (RPO)

The maximum amount of data you can afford to lose, measured in time since last backup. Our managed backup services run every 15 minutes for critical systems. You never lose more than 15 minutes of work.

Our Solutions

Business Continuity Services Mapped to Your Needs

Managed Backup Services

Automated, monitored, and verified data backup services for servers, workstations, databases, and Microsoft 365. Every backup is validated. Every failure is escalated. Backup as a service that your business can rely on.

Protects against: Hardware failure, accidental deletion, corruption
Disaster Recovery as a Service

DRaaS replicates your critical servers to the cloud. When your primary infrastructure fails, your systems spin up in the cloud within minutes. Automated failover with regular disaster recovery testing.

Protects against: Server failure, site loss, extended outages
Immutable and Air Gapped Backup

Immutable backup copies that cannot be encrypted, altered, or deleted by anyone, including ransomware. Air gapped backup stored in isolated environments with no network access to your production systems.

Protects against: Ransomware, insider threats, admin compromise
Business Continuity Planning

Documented business continuity planning with disaster recovery planning, communication procedures, role assignments, and step-by-step recovery runbooks. Business continuity consulting and disaster recovery consulting that turns plans into tested procedures.

Protects against: Confusion during a crisis, missed steps, slow response

Three Tiers of Data Protection

Tier 1: Cloud Backup
Automated backup to AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage with AES-256 encryption. Server backup solutions, database backup, M365 backup, and endpoint backup every 15 minutes.
Tier 2: Immutable Copy
Immutable backup on write-once storage that cannot be altered or deleted for a defined retention period. Even if an attacker gains admin access, they cannot touch these copies.
Tier 3: Air Gapped Backup
Air gapped backup stored in a physically or logically isolated environment with no network connection to production. The last line of defense against total compromise.
Quarterly Testing
Disaster recovery testing every quarter. Full recovery simulation, data integrity verification, actual RTO/RPO measurement, and documented results. Business continuity testing is the only way to know your plan works.
Common Questions

Business Continuity — Your Questions Answered

What is business continuity planning?
Business continuity planning creates systems and procedures ensuring your business operates during and after a disaster. This includes disaster recovery planning, managed backup services, communication plans, and documented recovery procedures with defined RTO and RPO targets.
What is disaster recovery as a service?
Disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) replicates your critical servers to the cloud so they spin up within minutes if primary infrastructure fails. Echoflare provides DRaaS with automated failover, regular disaster recovery testing, and documented procedures.
What is the difference between RTO and RPO?
RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how quickly you need systems back online. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data you can afford to lose. A 1-hour RPO means backup is never more than 1 hour old. We design backup and disaster recovery around your specific targets.
Can Echoflare recover from a ransomware attack?
Yes. Our ransomware recovery services use immutable backup copies that ransomware cannot encrypt. Air gapped backup ensures you always have a clean recovery point. Combined with our cybersecurity services, we protect and recover.
How often should disaster recovery be tested?
We perform disaster recovery testing quarterly. Full recovery simulations, data integrity verification, actual RTO/RPO measurement, and documented results. Business continuity testing is the only way to know your plan works.
